Crutchley: “No time to hide.”

England head into what is effectively a quarter final against Ireland tomorrow with the winner progressing to the semi-finals of the Rabobank EuroHockey Championships.

Ireland and Germany are currently above England in the pool with four points apiece whilst Bobby Crutchley’s side have three points. With Germany expected to beat Poland in the other game, only a win will do for the Three Lions. Continue reading

Crutchley urges England to learn lessons from Germany defeat

England Coach Bobby Crutchley was upbeat despite his side coming out on the wrong side of a 4-3 score line in an enthralling encounter with Germany.

Crutchley’s side trailed to early strikes from Mats Grambusch and Niklas Wellen inside the first 11 minutes but rallied to lead 3-2 before eventually succumbing in the final quarter. Continue reading
