Long time followers of the site and my Twitter feed will be fully aware that I normally avoid making predictions like the plague. Not only am I terrible at them, but with social media making it very easy for people to mock you, the risk of exposing yourself to ridicule is too great. With the World Cup in The Hague almost here, the teams participating are starting to formulate their strategies on how they will see off their competition and get their hands on that coveted trophy. Big tournaments are won and lost on the smallest of margins so unquestionably each player in each squad has their own part to play in the tournament.
