Wien crashed out of this season’s EHL after a thrashing at the hands of a rampant Rot Weiss Koln at East Grinstead hockey club today.

Euro Hockey League Round 1.2: Waterloo Ducks 4-0 Stroitel Brest.

Waterloo Ducks secured theirs and East Grinstead’s passage to the next round with a comfortable win over Stroitel Brest.

Brest had lost 5-0 to the hosts yesterday and any hopes of an upset and subsequent qualification were extinguished by a dominant performance from the Belgians.

Euro Hockey League Round 1.2: Lille 3-3 Lisnagarvey.

Two goals from Timothy Cockram in a pulsating last quarter rescued a draw for Lisnagarvey in a very entertaining match against Lille.

With Bloemendaal the other side in the group both sides were aware this match was crucial to their hopes of qualification. Lille raced into a 3-0 lead but the Irish side refused to lie down.

Euro Hockey League Round 1.2: Reading HC 3-4 KHC Dragons.

A heroic goalkeeping performance from Reading’s James Bailey was not enough to earn his side the win as KHC Dragons secured their place in the next round.

The game was an exciting encounter with the teams trading goals in an end-to-end match which had the crowd gripped right to the final whistle.

Euro Hockey League Round 1.2: Glynhill Hotel Kelburne 3-1 AHTC Wien.

Kelburne bounced back from their drubbing at the hands of Rot Weiss with a hard earned, but well deserved win over AHTC Wien.

In a keenly contested game the Scottish side were well worth their win, creating the majority of the chances and working the Wien goalkeeper Lukas Graser on a number of occasions. Continue reading →
