After the hugely successful Now: Pensions Men’s Playoffs last weekend at Sonning Lane this weekend it is the turn of the women with the Investec Championship Playoffs.
Last year’s competition was settled in dramatic fashion as Leicester edged out Reading on penalty shuffles. With both sides back for another tilt at the title, along with Canterbury and Surbiton it promises to be a fantastic spectacle. Now: Pensions Championship Final: Beeston 5-1 Surbiton.
Beeston showed why they finished top of the league in the regular season with a dominant display as they brushed aside Surbiton to win the Now: Pensions Championship Final. Two goals from Craig Boyne and further strikes from Oliver Willars, Simon Egerton and Martin Jones did the damage as Surbiton simply had no answer to the Bees’ firepower. Continue reading
