England’s nightmare World Cup continued as they slipped to a third consecutive defeat of the tournament to a South African side ranked eight places below them in the world. Ashley Jackson gritted his teeth to play through the pain as his late penalty corner sealed a second win of the competition for Bobby Crutchley’s England.
