Investec World League Pool B: South Africa 0-1 Australia.
Anna Flanagan’s penalty corner goal in the 43rd minute was enough to give Australia their second win of the week, leaving South Africa searching for their first victory of this Investec World League competition.
In a see-saw encounter, both sides showed an abundance of pace, energy and no little physical presence as they slugged it out toe-to-toe like a couple of prizefighters. Continue reading
Investec World League Pool A: Argentina 4-0 Italy.
Two goals from Rocio Sanchez Moccia helped Argentina to secure top spot in the group as they moved through the gears to sweep aside a spirited effort from Italy in their final pool game. Italy went into the game needing to win by two clear goals to snatch top billing in the pool but Argentina’s considerable talent was just too much for the European side. Continue reading

Goals from Hongxia Li and Mengyu Wang were enough to give China the three points in their final group game, leaving the USA winless and rooted to the foot of the table in Pool A. Continue reading
