Australia booked their place in the semi final with a convincing 4-1 win over the USA here in London.
First half goals from Emily Smith, Kellie White, Karri McMahon and Jodie Schulz overpowered the Stars and Stripes and ensured Australia had a comfortable second half, allowing them to keep something in the tank for Saturday’s clash with Spain or China. Continue reading

Argentina moved ominously into the semi-final of the Investec World League with a solid display to see off South Africa in the first game of the day here in London.

England set up a quarter final tie with Italy after a hard fought 1-1 draw. Spain, showing a much improved performance secured a point and in doing so, leap-frogged South Africa to avoid the much-fancied Argentinians in Thursday’s matches. Continue reading

Anna Flanagan’s penalty corner goal in the 43rd minute was enough to give Australia their second win of the week, leaving South Africa searching for their first victory of this Investec World League competition.
