Having looked over the runners and riders in Pool A yesterday, it is now time to examine those teams competing in Pool B of the Investec World League Semi Final in London. This is, in my opinion the tougher of the two pools, so there will plenty of quality on show as these teams battle it out to qualify for the World League Final and the World Cup in the Netherlands.

The end of season Championship Play-Offs are almost upon us once again. Last year, Reading edged out East Grinstead with an Andy Watts penalty corner goal after the final whistle. The semi-final line-up promises to serve up a feast of entertaining hockey and plenty of drama at Sonning Lane this weekend. The Top of the D takes a look at the contenders. First up, Reading and Beeston, who face off in first of the semi-finals.
Sarah Thomas is Welsh Hockey’s golden girl. The country’s only representative in both Men’s and Women’s Great Britain squads at London 2012 and the first Welsh outfield player to compete at consecutive Olympic games, it is fair to say the former Rotterdam forward has a lot to be proud of.
