MHC Oranje Zwart made their way into the final of the Euro Hockey League with an excellent display to overcome KHC Dragons in a cauldron of noise here in Eindhoven. Harvestehuder THC came from behind to snatch a dramatic late win, reaching the Euro Hockey League final in their debut season. Racing Club de Bruxelles had raced into a two-goal lead courtesy of a brace from Jonathan Beckers but goals from Tobias Hauke, Xaver Hasun and Michael Korper brought the Germans back from the dead to pull off a famous comeback.  Continue reading →

Mark Jenniskens emerged as MHC Oranje Zwart’s man of the moment as his three saves in the shootout got the hosts into the Final Four after a tense encounter with RC Polo de Barcelona. The sides played out a 0-0 draw over the 70 minutes and despite Polo’s Oriol Fabregas saving twice himself in the shootout the Dutch goalkeeper’s intervention turned out to be the decisive one.  Continue reading →

Felix Denayer’s strike six minutes before half time continued KHC Dragons’ extraordinary love affair with the EHL as they squeaked past HC Rotterdam in a tense game in front of the typically noisy Dragons crowd. Although Denayer’s goal proved the difference, the win was in no small part down to goalkeeper Manu Leroy who had an inspired day between the posts for the Belgian outfit.  Continue reading →

Racing Club de Bruxelles came out on top in this all-Belgian affair as they overcame rivals Waterloo Ducks 4-2 in a high quality encounter between two excellent sides. Goals from Aldo Dalla Palma, Anthony Versluys, Scott Tupper and Cedric Charlier gave them the edge to come from behind and grab a famous win to make it to the final four for the first time in their history.  Continue reading →
